Review: Venus de Vilo ‘Slashing Through The Snow’

With Halloween over, many of us are going through spooky withdrawals. But fear not. Venus de Vilo is coming to the rescue with something to fill that empty void: the worlds first Horror Themed Christmas album. It’s aptly named Slashing Through The Snow.

Recorded at Temple Lane Rehearsal Studios, it combines everything you love about Halloween: horror, blood, eerie singing, and mixes it with the darker side of the holiday season. It’s basically like if Jack Off Jill decided to make a Christmas album with Amanda Palmer. It’s dark, gritty, catchy, and a great piece of music.

But the three track album isn’t all you get, there is also an illustrated comic book and a calendar Killendar for 2016. It’s release date is November, Friday the 13th (of course), head on over to facebook to find out more!
