Carrickmacross Arts and Music Festival, Ireland’s biggest small festival, will take place in Monaghan from this Thursday, August 11th-14th and tickets are almost sold out! Only in their third year, this year’s lineup is crackin’ with loads in store for music lovers, artists and families alike.
With headlining acts such as Delorentos, Wallis Bird and Wyvern Lingo (to name a few) across Saturday and Sunday, the festival also hosts a comedy night on Thursday 11th featuring various acts such as Barry Murphy (Apres Match) and Colum McDonnell (Savage Eye) and an open-air cinema screening “The Goonies” on the Friday!
Located on the grounds of Callans of the Bridge, the weekend also includes a range of children’s activities, all included in your family ticket price, which features outdoor games, art and craft workshops, karaoke and face painting!
None of this would be possible without the support and resources provided by Carrickmacross’s local community and arts centre, located in the refurbished heritage site of the original Workhouse so come on down and show your support to this great crew of local artist’s and musicians – tickets available from here.
